one month

{ June 2012 }

Yesterday marks one month since our dossier arrived in Kampala… This means we have “officially” been waiting for our referral for one month!

Since these babie(s) are growing in our hearts, I can’t take belly shots of our growing progress or give monthly “bump” updates…

So, I thought I would give a monthly “wait update” to document our progress and our anticipation towards that day when we will get “the call” that will tell us all about the child(ren) that God will bring into our family.

Tim and I have chosen one Scripture for each month of the wait that we desire for our little one(s). It will be our prayer for them that month.

Being that this was our first month, I wanted to start off with our utmost and deepest desire for each of our children. It is found in Deuteronomy 10:12 & 13:

And now, {our child’s name}, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to obey the LORD’s commands that I am giving you today for your own good.

I also thought that it would be fun to buy a book for our child(ren) each month, contributing towards their library. I have had a LOVE of books ever since I can remember, and I want to instill a love of reading in our children. Reading to and with our babies is one of the many things I look forward to.

This month’s book is their very first Bible: The Jesus Storybook Bible. I had first heard about it through my sister, and have since read several recommendations.

For our Uga-babe(s),

We CAN’T WAIT to tell you about Jesus! He loves you SO much! Even more than we do! We look forward to reading you stories about Jesus and telling you all about WHO He is.  May you hide His Word in your heart.
